Pompeii and Herculaneum: Two cities one destiny

Some verses say:” O foruna velut luna” – “Oh fortune, you change like moon”. Yes, faith is inscrutable and can change in a while.
It happened one day of two thousand years ago when the moon changed in the sky over Pompeii and Herculaneum.
These two prosperous Roman cities set in a marvelous environment among sea, rivers and fertile fields were deleted from the face of earth in a couple of days.
Vesuvius with its enormous destroying power took everything: houses, streets, shops, monuments, thousands lives and all what they represented.
This tragedy was terrible, maybe the worst one of the ancient times. These cities were forgotten from history because the Vesuvius eruption buried them.
That’s why their ruins exist today. Undoubtedly is extremely fascinating to visit them for many reasons. You have an incredible occasion to live an unforgettable experience in the ancient Roman dimension.
You can see where the Romans ate, slept, loved, enjoyed, prayed and died.
You can do that in two similar but different cities not only for their characteristics but even for their different conservation state.
